We approach the design and delivery of all of our training acutely aware that people learn in different ways. Our approach to the facilitation of learning respects the different learning preferences of the participants in our programs. The science of NLP, amongst other models such as Honey-Mumford, has influenced our approach
There are visual learners, who require ideas and concepts be presented through models and frameworks that they can see and reflect upon.
There are auditory learners, who want to hear ideas explained and desire the opportunity for discussion and hearing what others think
Then there are kinesthetic learners who need to be actively involved in doing things through role plays and activities.
Any training session requires a variety and combination of methods in order to ensure that participants are engaged. The effective facilitation of learning in face-face training delivery requires that a trainer be flexible. After all, the measure of a trainers effectiveness is not about what they may have "covered" in terms of material, but rather what do participants actually go away with and ultimately, apply back in the workplace |
