Stress Management

This half day training course will provide your staff with a range of practical skills and proven techniques to help them improve their stress management.

Unrelenting workplace demands are creating stress for many of us - it has become essential to be able to judge priorities, develop healthy routines and build resilience, so as to withstand these workplace pressures and remain productive. All of this is fundamental to maintaining a sense of balance and well-being – to the long term benefit of ourselves, our family and our organisation.

Content in this half-day stress management training course can include ;

  • How do you change old, unhealthy habits  
  • Are you managing your life in alignment with your values and priorities?
  • Learning to maintain a sense of balance and inner well-being
  • Recognise signs of excessive stress
  • The accumulation of stress that creates “strain” and tension
  • The positive and negative sides of stress – the impact on health and performance
  • Common causes of workplace stress - including change, conflict, overload, unrealistic expectations, job dissatisfaction ….
  • Building your “stress-buffer” through relaxation, exercise and a personal support network
  • The impact of your thinking and outlook upon your stress levels
  • Protecting your priorities : developing your assertiveness

This training is offered in-house for organisations and can be further customised to meet specific requirements. Executive coaching is also available to support your key people and help them to develop their own stress management strategies and skills for promoting well-being.  

Brian Carroll is the course facilitator. He is a qualified Melbourne based psychologist and also a very experienced trainer, who delivers the training in a highly engaging and stimulating way. As a registered psychologist, he brings to the training experience an insightful understanding of the dynamics of change.
