Job Interview Tips

Many people find the job interview a daunting experience and for people who may have worked in the same job for many years and have not needed to compete in the job market for a while, then the prospect of an interview may well be even more harrowing.

In the following brief video clip, I share five job interview tips that can help to increase your chances of success. Suggestions include

  1. Confidence partly comes from feeling well prepared
  2. Listen carefully to the interview question and pause a moment before you respond
  3. Enthusiasm is a quality that most interviewers are looking for in an applicant
  4. Anticipate likely interview questions .... and expect there will be many behavioural framed questions
  5. Never assume that the interviewers have fully digested the information in your resume
